ROMET TWIN complements the ROMET range of bale shredders intended for feeding and spreading with a more powerful system for splitting bales in the round and square form. This model is in particular intended for customers, who also need to shred heavy/wet bales of haylage in addition to bales of straw or hay. The ROMET TWIN serves a farmer as a standard spreader as well as a forage vehicle. It is therefore a versatile shredder that replaces several single-purpose machines on smaller farms.
The unique shredding solution with two horizontally mounted rollers fitted with cutting knives can shred straw and haylage better and finer than machines with a single shredder roller. The capacity of this shredder is significantly higher and therefore the time for breaking down and dispensing litter or forage from a single bale is significantly reduced. The required tractor power remains the same as for other shredders.
As a standard ROMET TWIN is equipped with stronger hydraulic cylinders at the rear of the vehicle to ensure smooth loading even of heavier haylage bales. Furthermore, it is equipped with an adjustable hydraulic drive for the sliding floor conveyor, a hydraulic distributor controlled by an electric control from the driver‘s cab and an additional control on the left side for bale loading.
ROMET TWIN is available in a variant with a rotary chimney, which allows rotary movement of the exhaust at an angle of up to 220° with the possibility of stacking on both sides, even behind each other, or in the ROMET TWIN PAS variant with a transverse hydraulically driven conveyor with double-sided unloading, which is suitable for dosing forage or bedding up to a distance of 1.5 m with significantly lower dust generation.
